Mrs. Elizabeth M. Greene
Missionary Elizabeth M. Keitt Greene was born on May 13, 1950, a native of Orangeburg, South Carolina to the parents of the late Josephine Green and the late Leon Keitt.
She was educated in the Public Schools of Orangeburg Consolidated School District Five until tenth grade. Lizzie relocated to New York City and completed her studies at Julia Richman all-girls’ school.
She returned to Orangeburg, S.C. and enrolled at South Carolina State University and received her B.S.
Degree in Early Childhood and a Master of Education Degree.

Lizzie’s educational career began in Calhoun County at Saint John Elementary School in Cameron, SC, followed by Bethlehem Elementary, then John Ford Elementary and Adult Ed. At OC Tech and the Head Start Program at the North Road Site. Years later she taught kindergarten and 1st Grade for Orangeburg Consolidated School District Five. She was such a creative and innovative teacher. During her tenure at Sheridan and Whittaker Elementary School, she was commended for her outstanding ability to teach her students English/Spanish skills. Later, she taught at Blacksville-Hilda Elementary School. During her free time, she also tutored targeted students who needed Reading assistance.
She retired from the Orangeburg Consolidated School District Five, South Carolina.
Her ability to teach flowed over to her church. "Sister Lizzie" joined St. Peter AME Church, Cameron S.C. at an early age. She loved the church with all her heart. She served as a Sunday school teacher and even provided transportation for her students.
She also served on the Stewardess Board and was the Women's Missionary Society President. She was such a loyal and dedicated church member. Other awards and offices held included: she was awarded Layperson of the year of the Wateree District, church school Teacher/VBS Vacation Bible School instructor, member of Daughters of Sara, local DMC commissioner, member of Pastor’s Aide, St. Peter voices of Praise Choir, Wateree Choir, Culinary Committee Member, Secretary of Quarterly Conference, Instructor of Central Conference Youth Summit and Member of Women’s Day Committee, Homecoming Committee, and Financial Committee. She was a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity.
Carrying on the legacy entrusted to them by their mother and grandparents before them, Liz Girlz has a passion for empowering others through social and academic programs.

SHE WOULD ALWAYS FIND THE TIME TO LEND A HELPING HAND WHERE EVER THERE WAS A NEED. YOU COULD FIND HER HELPING A SENIOR CITIZEN WITH DAILY SELF-CARE NEEDS FROM PERSONAL AFFAIRS TO
ENCOURAGING THE YOUTH WHILE HELPING TO INCREASE THEIR READING SKILLS. SHE WOULD FIND A MOMENT IN EACH
DAY TO SHARE A SMILE AND LAUGHTER WITH ANYONE SHE WOULD MEET.
